The letterforms carry the unbroken cadence of a steel-nib hand — connected lowercase, fine entries, slightly extravagant capitals. The strokes vary in weight as a pen-on-paper hand would, with hairline upstrokes and confident shaded downstrokes. Set at large sizes it has the composed elegance of a hand-written invitation; set tighter it reads as careful correspondence rather than ornament. The script feels at home on a perfume label, a notary's letterhead, the inside cover of a book given as a saint's-day gift, or the printed program of a small chamber recital — anywhere the writing wants to suggest attention paid and time taken.
