Biotrip Serif was born as a humanist slab serif, that particular kind of typeface that blends rational geometry with Egyptian boldness and the sensitivity of a hand-drawn stroke. Slab serifs—you know, those letters with square serifs so powerful they seem designed to never fall over—are robust, stable, and direct. They are typefaces that engage in a dialogue between the strength of the block and the sophistication of the detail. But this family goes further: it combines square serifs at the base—that firm and contemporary anchor—with lapidary serifs at the top, lighter and sharper, which break the visual monotony and guide the eye with elegance, creating a unique visual interplay that brings lightness, dynamism, rhythm to each word, and a refinement that breathes new life into the traditional slab structure.
